What is coaching, and how is it different from therapy?
Coaching is skills-based and future-focused. It helps people build systems, routines, and strategies for real-life challenges like executive function, transitions, organization, and follow-through.
Coaching does not involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions and is not a substitute for therapy. Many clients work with a therapist and a coach at the same time, using coaching to apply insights from therapy to daily life.
Do you offer virtual coaching?
Yes. Most coaching sessions are held virtually via Google Meet. Virtual coaching allows for flexibility, accessibility, and consistency regardless of location.
Some in-person sessions may be available by arrangement, but virtual coaching is the primary format.
How long do clients usually work with you?
Most clients work with me for at least 3–6 months. This allows enough time to build trust, experiment with strategies, adjust systems, and see meaningful progress.
Some clients choose to continue longer for maintenance or ongoing support. It really comes down to individual needs.
Do you provide fitness, medical, or physical therapy services?
No. I do not provide medical treatment, physical therapy, diagnosis, or rehabilitation.
For fitness for clients, especially those with EDS, POTS, or chronic pain, I offer body-aware coaching focused on education, pacing, accountability, and adaptation. This coaching is designed to complement — not replace — medical or therapeutic care.
Can you work alongside my therapist, doctor, or school?
Yes. When appropriate and with consent, coaching can work alongside therapy, medical care, or educational supports. Many therapists and educators refer clients to coaching as an additional layer of practical support.
What if I’m not sure what I need yet?
That’s completely okay. Many clients start coaching without a clear plan. Part of the work is identifying goals, priorities, and next steps together.
How do I get started with Coaching?
Start with a free discovery call. There’s no pressure or obligation — just a conversation to see if coaching is a good fit and what support might be most helpful.
Who do you work with?
I work with:
- Autistic and ADHD teens, young adults, and adults
- Late-diagnosed individuals navigating identity, burnout, or transitions
- Individuals with EDS, POTS, or chronic pain seeking body-aware coaching
- Parents and caregivers seeking coaching support
- Educators, schools, and organizations through professional development
If you’re unsure whether coaching is a good fit, a free discovery call is the best place to start.
Do you work with high school students?
Yes. I work with high school students, typically with parent or guardian involvement. Coaching often focuses on executive function, self-advocacy, transitions, confidence, and reducing overwhelm.
What does coaching actually look like week to week?
Coaching is collaborative and individualized. Depending on the client and service, it may include:
- Regular coaching sessions
- Weekly check-ins and feedback
- Strategy adjustments based on what’s working or not
- Optional calls as needed
- Asynchronous support between sessions
- Video review for form, systems, or skill practice
Coaching adapts as your needs evolve.
Do you list prices on your website?
No. Coaching and professional development services are individualized, and pricing depends on the scope and duration of work. This is discussed during a free discovery call so expectations are clear and aligned.
Do you take insurance or Medicaid?
No. I’m happy to provide you with an itemized invoice so that you can try and file with your insurance yourself, but I am not able to accept any insurance as payment. There are some possibilities we can discuss that might make it possible for reimbursements (not direct payments) from your FSA/HSA account though.
I’m a Provider, do you have information I can share in my office?
I have a 1 page flyer for just that sort of thing. It’s downloadable from the Therapist and Provider page.
